Hobbs Pond- formally known as Little Pennesseewassee- is a small, quiet pond west of Norway’s town center. It covers about 100 acres with a maximum depth near 28 feet, giving it a mix of shallow shoreline and moderately deep central water. It has a rural feel, with long stretches of wooded shoreline and a quiet overall setting. Residents use the pond for fishing, paddling, and winter activities, but it remains less developed and less trafficked than the larger lakes nearby. Hobbs Pond feeds Lake Pennesseewassee as part of the network of lakes and ponds that shape Norway’s landscape. Boat motors are limited to 10 HP.
